👋🏻 I'm Jonny, a product designer currently based in London.
I graduated from Northumbria University with a First Class degree in Industrial Design in 2017. It was a brilliant opportunity for me to learn how to apply design thinking to a range of problems, whilst also working with companies such as Philips & Reckit Benkieser. It was also here where I found my passion for digital design and ultimately UI/UX - this was evident in my final project (a nature kit with a supporting app) which was shortlisted for the Wilko Retail Design award!
My career started at a dynamic, fast-paced EdTech startup CENTURY Tech where I grew and developed as a designer. I worked closely with a range of disciplines to deliver impactful solutions to users, all whilst seeing how a tech company can grow quickly in an agile way. After 5 years, I felt it was time for a change and made the switch to the Octopus Energy group, where I'm now a lead designer at Kraken Utilities. Throughout this time, I've grown in my trade, working with stakeholders to balance design and business goals to deliver user-centric solutions!
